The Quilt Center offers top quality batting for your quilting needs - our own blend - Blue Crown Batting
Tip: “How long will it take before I am good?” Naturally, the answer is different for every individual, and it is dependent upon how much time you spend Practicing Practicing Practicing ! One way to get lots of practice is to volunteer to quilt some quilt tops for people who are going to donate those quilts to non-profit organizations/charities. Many quilt guilds have active programs that encourage their members to donate to local charities. Quilt Center donates quilts to charities too. All of the quilts done on the Statler Stitcher during the International Quilt Fest in Rosemont, IL, were bound and are being donated to the Quilts Of Valor Project. During a show in St. Louis, I completed 5 more quilts (these were children’s quilts) that will be donated to local charities (as soon as I finish the bindings, that is!) Maybe you have a favorite charity that would appreciate the quilts for the people they serve, or maybe they would appreciate a quilt to offer in a fundraising event of some kind. Either way, it is a great way to give back to your local community, while improving your quilting skills. I hope this helps your business!
